- General Dynamics Land Systems Appoints Shaw
Director of Business Acquisition

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - General Dynamics Land Systems has appointed C. Raymond Shaw director of Business Acquisition for Advanced Programs in its Washington, D.C. office. Shaw's responsibilities in this position include providing program support to the customer, the United States Marine Corps and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA); creating new opportunities for related business; oversight of the Reconnaissance, Surveillance, Targeting Vehicle (RSTV), the National Automotive Center 8x8 Program, and the Low Profile Turret for the Canadian Armoured Combat Vehicle Program; and new business development in the area of hybrid electric vehicles.

Shaw, age 56, joined General Dynamics in March 1996 with the acquisition of Teledyne Vehicle Systems where he served as Manager of Advanced Engineering Programs at Land Systems' Muskegon Technical Center. In May 1998, Shaw moved to Land Systems' Washington, D.C., office as Business Acquisition Manager for Advanced Programs.

Shaw retired from the United States Army as a Colonel in October 1988. He attended the Army War College, Command and General Staff College, and the Field Artillery Basic and Advanced Courses.

He and his wife Doris reside in the Mt. Vernon area of Alexandria, Virginia.
