ABRAMS MAIN BATTLE TANK -

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. -- General Dynamics Land Systems will host a ceremony on May 13, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lima Army Tank Plant in Lima, Ohio, to mark the delivery of the 1,000th M1A2 Abrams main battle tank.

Participants at the ceremony will include Arthur J. Veitch, president, General Dynamics Land Systems; Maj. Gen. Roy E. Beauchamp, Commanding General, U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command; Maj. Gen. George H. Harmeyer, Commanding General, U.S. Army Armor Center and Fort Knox; and Maj. Gen. John F. Michitsch, Program Executive Officer, Ground Combat and Support Systems.
