General Dynamics Awarded $24.2 Million Contract for Bradley Transmissions and Turret Drive Systems

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - General Dynamics Land Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has been awarded a $24.2 million contract by United Defense for 138 Bradley HMPT 500-3ECB transmission assemblies and 138 turret drive systems. These components are used in the Bradley Fighting Vehicle M2A3 product improvement program.

This contract is the third award against a now fully funded Bradley Multi-Year contract, valued at $76.5 million, that was initially awarded in September 2001.

Work will be preformed with the existing workforce at the General Dynamics Land Systems facilities in Muskegon, Mich. (68%), Tallahassee, Fla. (24%), and Scranton, Penn. (8%). The program will be managed by General Dynamics Land Systems' Propulsion Systems operation in Muskegon, Michigan.

Deliveries will run from April 2004 through March 2005.
