STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - General Dynamics Land Systems, a subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), was awarded modifications to existing Department of Defense contracts totaling $28 million on November 27, 2002.
The first award is a $17.6 million contract modification for production of 94 M56 smoke generators, repair parts and on-site logistics support. The work will be performed by the company's Robotic Systems business unit in Westminster, Md., and is to be completed in 2008.
The second award is a $10.4 million contract modification for system technical support for the Abrams tank program. Work will be performed at Sterling Heights, Mich. and completed in 2006.
