STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. The United States Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command yesterday awarded General Dynamics Land Systems a sole source contract to provide systems technical support for the Abrams tank and Wolverine heavy assault bridge programs, from August 2001 through July 2006. The initial funding is valued at $50,822,204 and covers basic services through June 2002. General Dynamics Land Systems is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE:GD).
Work will be performed at General Dynamics facilities in Sterling Heights and Muskegon Michigan, Tallahassee, Florida, and U.S. government field sites in the United States and Germany.
