-GENERAL DYNAMICS AWARDED $6 MILLION CONTRACT FOR ADVANCED AMPHIBIOUS ASSAULT VEHICLE LONG LEAD MATERIAL-

 

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. The U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command has awarded General Dynamics Land Systems a $6 million contract modification to order long lead material for the U.S. Marine Corps Advanced Amphibious Assault Vehicle program (AAAV).

The long lead material is for the AAAV system development and demonstration phase.

Work will be performed by company employees at its Amphibious Systems Operation in Woodbridge, Va. (40%), Lima, Ohio (20%), Tallahassee, Fla. (15%), Muskegon, Mich. (10%), Scranton, Pa. (10%), and Imperial Valley, Calif. (5%). The work is expected to be completed by June 2001.
