- GENERAL DYNAMICS LAND SYSTEMS APPOINTS ROUALET VICE PRESIDENT, WHEELED VEHICLE SYSTEMS -

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - General Dynamics Land Systems has appointed Mark C. Roualet vice president, Wheeled Vehicle Systems. Roualet will be responsible for the newly established Wheeled Vehicle Systems Product Center.

In November 2000, the U.S. Army selected General Dynamics and its partner, General Motors Corporation, to provide a new light-weight, wheeled combat vehicle for its Interim Brigade Combat Team. The Interim Armored Vehicle (IAV) is the first new combat vehicle the Army has bought since the 1980s. Up to 2,131 IAVs will be produced through 2008 in the $4 billion program.

Roualet will be responsible for all aspects of General Dynamics Land Systems' wheeled vehicle programs, to include the Fox NBCRS, Pandur, Armored Ground Mobility System, and Dragoon/Patroller product lines in addition to the IAV Program.

Roualet has held several positions of increasing responsibility in Quality, Manufacturing, Operations Engineering, and Program Management. More recently, he was the senior General Dynamics representative to the GM/GDLS Defense Joint Venture Office.

Roualet holds a bachelor's degree in industrial management from Michigan Technological University and an MBA in management from the University of Dayton.
