- GENERAL DYNAMICS LAND SYSTEMS APPOINTS
GILLETTE VICE PRESIDENT, PRODUCTION & DELIVERY -

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - General Dynamics Land Systems has appointed Richard O. Gillette vice president, Production & Delivery. Gillette will be responsible for all of Land Systems manufacturing programs. This includes seven facilities in six states.

Since joining General Dynamics in 1979, Gillette has held increasingly responsible positions in the manufacturing and materials organizations. He has been plant manager of the Lima Army Tank Plant in Lima, Ohio, and at the Sterling Plant in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Gillette's most recent assignment was director of Abrams Tank Programs.

Gillette holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology and Education from Ohio State University and a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University.

He has been active in many civic organizations including the Lima Rotary Club, Lima/Allen County Labor Management Association, United Way of Greater Lima, Lima Technical College, and the Edison Welding Institute.
