- GENERAL DYNAMICS LAND SYSTEMS APPOINTS KING
PLANT MANAGER AT THE LIMA ARMY TANK PLANT -

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - General Dynamics Land Systems has appointed Gary W. King plant manager at the Lima Army Tank Plant in Lima, Ohio, replacing Richard O. Gillette, who was named tank programs director. King will be responsible for all production and delivery operations at the LATP and will be Land Systems point of contact with the local community. The Lima Army Tank Plant (LATP) is a government owned, contractor operated facility.

King has held several positions of increased responsibility in manufacturing including manager of Plant Service, director of Division Facilities, and plant manager for the Detroit Arsenal Tank Plant up to the time of its closing. Most recently, as director of Resource Planning and Business Alliances within the Strategic Business Planning organization, King was involved with long range facilities planning, strategic business alliances, and directed the integrated Y2K plan for Land Systems.

He holds a Bachelors degree from Michigan State University and Masters degrees from both Oakland University and Central Michigan University.
