- GENERAL DYNAMICS LAND SYSTEMS APPOINTS DAVIS
VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL COUNSEL -

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - General Dynamics Land Systems has appointed William W. (Wit) Davis vice president and general counsel.

Davis assumes responsibility for all Land Systems legal matters and will also provide the same support to General Dynamics Armament Systems in Burlington, Vermont. Land Systems and Armament Systems make up General Dynamics' Combat Systems Group.

Davis joined Land Systems in June 1999 as associate general counsel from the Chicago law firm of Katten, Muchin & Zavis where he was a partner in the business litigation section. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction from the U.S. Naval Academy and served five years as an officer with the U.S. Marine Corps. Subsequently, he received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago Law School. Davis is a member of the American Bar Association.
